In a continued effort to bring healthy sustainable living tips to those who live or work in San Francisco's financial district, Crocker Galleria has teamed up with Green Zebra to host a series of Power Hours. These quick and fun mini-seminars aim to educate the community about easy and inexpensive ideas ways to bring sustainability of everyday living. Power Hour events on a variety of topics take place from noon - 1 pm on certain Thursdays, the day of the week when the year-round Crocker Galleria Farmers' Market takes place.
Post Montgomery Center, home to Crocker Galleria, is a LEED Gold certified green building, with a management team committed to preserving the environment.
Come to the Green Zebra Environmental Action Center on Thursday August 19th from noon - 1 pm for a cooking demonstration featuring the season’s best heirloom tomatoes. Watch an expert chef whip up a delicious dish highlighting the unique qualities of heirloom tomatoes. Also, learn what the difference is between an heirloom and a conventional tomato, and why it's important to preserve these delicious varietals.
